Maryland Attorney
About Lauren R. Henry
Lauren’s legal career began long before she became an attorney. Since 2002, she has helped people navigate difficult legal situations—first as a legal assistant and paralegal, and today as an attorney serving Maryland clients.
Her experience gives her a practical understanding of what it takes to move a case forward and a personal appreciation for what clients experience along the way.
A Personal Approach to Legal Representation
Most people do not contact an attorney during an ordinary moment.
They may be recovering from an injury, facing uncertainty about their children or finances, or trying to protect someone who can no longer manage important decisions alone. The legal issue matters, but so do the people and responsibilities surrounding it.
Lauren understands how unfamiliar and overwhelming the legal process can feel. She has spent her career working directly with clients, organizing cases, solving problems, preparing for litigation, and helping people understand what comes next.
Her approach is straightforward: listen carefully, explain the available options clearly, prepare thoroughly, and never lose sight of the person behind the legal matter.
A Nontraditional Path to the Law
Built on Persistence, Work Ethic, and Client Service
Lauren did not begin her legal career in a courtroom. She began by working directly with clients as a legal assistant and paralegal.
For more than a decade, Lauren worked full time as the sole employee of a solo practitioner. That role placed her on the front lines of a law office, where she helped clients navigate questions, uncertainty, documentation, deadlines, negotiations, and the many details required to keep a case moving.
While continuing to work full time, Lauren attended law school at night.
Balancing professional responsibilities with legal education required consistency, discipline, and determination. It also allowed her to connect what she was learning in the classroom with the realities clients and attorneys face every day.
That experience continues to shape how she practices law. Lauren understands that successful representation is not built only during major hearings or negotiations. It is also built through preparation, communication, follow-through, and the work performed at every stage of a case.
Experience at Every Stage
Understanding How a Case Is Built
Before becoming an attorney, Lauren spent years learning how legal matters develop from the first client conversation through investigation, documentation, negotiation, settlement, and trial preparation.
After earning her law degree, she continued building that experience as an attorney. Her professional background has included leading a workers’ compensation department and working with litigation teams on significant cases.
This progression gives Lauren a broad view of legal representation. She understands the importance of the details behind the scenes as well as the advocacy clients see during negotiations and court proceedings.
It also means she has not forgotten what it feels like to be the first person a worried client calls. She understands the questions, stress, and uncertainty that often accompany a legal problem—and makes clear communication a priority.
